Executive Sous Chef

The candidate will assist the Executive Chef in directing and supervising the preparation of and service for all food on board in accordance with the established company's menu and recipes. They will be responsible for quality, quantity, attractiveness and correctness of all food items served as per company's standards and manage minimum waste by preparing the food in small quantities.The candidate will also have to prepare work schedules of all employees in his kitchen organisation for approval by the Executive Chef. The candidate must have advanced culinary skills and leadership experience and have a minimum of seven years experience working in quality hotels and restaurants. Fitness Instructor

A new spa operator at sea is seeking a Fitness Instructor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consistent professional fitness class and personal training sessions in accordance with spa protocols and accepted cruise line practices, properly caring for equipment and maintaining fitness equipment, as well as having complete knowledge and understanding of all fitness offerings while educating and training guests in these areas. Other responsibilities include, being flexible with their schedule, supporting the needs of the spa and maintaining a clean, well-organised, fully stocked fitness area. The applicant will be expected to perform administrative duties in a complete, organised and accurate manner, communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or fitness area that require attention. They will also have to actively promote the spa, treatments, services, seminars and retail, as well as programmes, promotions and discounts available, handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, and provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction. If you are successful, you will also have to possess the ability to work without direct supervision, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment, and regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. A minimum of 1 year's experience in this role is necessary as well as National Certificationpreferably with diplomas in yoga, Pilates and personal training. We are looking for an experienced Cook/Stewardess for a 27m+ luxury game fishing vessel to start ASAP here in New Zealand for November 1st. The vessel will be based in New Zealand for the up coming summer before heading up into the Pacific Island groups where it will charter for the season between the island groups. Cooking is a big part of this role - so candidates will need to show that they are comfortable cooking for 4 crew and up to 6 guests if need be. This position requires applicants to be able to live and work in New Zealand - you will need a NZ work permit, NZ residency or citizenship to be considered. Candidates must have valid ENG1 and STCW, as well as previous experience as a cook/stewardess. On offer is a generous package for the right candidate.
