Nail Technician

A new spa operator at sea is seeking a Nail Technician to join their team on board a UK cruise brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all trained manicure and pedicure services, following procedures in place to ensure the comfort of the guests. It is expected that the candidate will be present for shifts in a timely manner according to the published schedule and begin and end all services on time as scheduled. The applicant should be knowledgeable of all spa services and promotions being run as well as know what is happening around the ship. Other duties include, attending all spa and departmental meetings, completing all cleaning logs as required and promoting yourself across the vessel to make guests aware of the services offered at the spa. A minimum of 2 years experience as a Nail Technician is necessary and the successful candidate should have good time management, and good communication skills. Fitness Instructor

A new spa operator at sea is seeking a Fitness Instructor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consistent professional fitness class and personal training sessions in accordance with spa protocols and accepted cruise line practices, properly caring for equipment and maintaining fitness equipment, as well as having complete knowledge and understanding of all fitness offerings while educating and training guests in these areas. Other responsibilities include, being flexible with their schedule, supporting the needs of the spa and maintaining a clean, well-organised, fully stocked fitness area. The applicant will be expected to perform administrative duties in a complete, organised and accurate manner, communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or fitness area that require attention. They will also have to actively promote the spa, treatments, services, seminars and retail, as well as programmes, promotions and discounts available, handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, and provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction. If you are successful, you will also have to possess the ability to work without direct supervision, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment, and regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. A minimum of 1 year's experience in this role is necessary as well as National Certification preferably with diplomas in Yoga, Pilates and Personal Training.
